Jacqueline grew up in a wealthy and socially prominent family, whose father was a stockbroker, and her mother was an accomplished equestrian. She studied at Vassar College for two years before transferring to George Washington University. She later married the John F. Kennedy, the 35th President of the US.
Besides her involvement with the political side, she was also a fan of the arts. She was a photographer, writer, and socialite known for her beautiful style. She spent much time redecorating and restoring the White House while in office. Moreover, Jackie Kennedy was also a fashionista whose style was recreated by people worldwide. But the Kennedy presidency was marked by both triumph and tragedy. In 1963, President Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas. Following her husband's passing, Jackie moved to New York and continued to be involved in cultural and historical preservation. She later married Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis and lived in Greece for a few years. After his death as well, she returned to the US and pursued a career in publishing and worked as an editor at Doubleday.
