Saul Hudson, born on July 23, 1965, is a British-American musician known professionally as Slash. He gained widespread fame as the lead guitarist of the hard rock band Guns N'Roses, achieving global success in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Slash is widely regarded as one of the greatest guitarists in the history of rock music.

About Slash

Originally from Hampstead, London, Slash moved to Los Angeles with his father at five. Coming from an entertainment-oriented family, he was nicknamed "Slash" by actor Seymour Cassel during childhood.

In 1983, Slash joined the glam metal band Hollywood Rose, and in 1985, he became part of Guns N'Roses, replacing founding member Tracii Guns. Following further conflicts with Axl Rose, he departed from Guns N'Roses in 1996.

2002 Slash co-founded the supergroup Velvet Revolver with vocalist Scott Weiland, marking his return to mainstream success in the mid to late 2000s. He rejoined Guns N'Roses in 2016.

Time magazine recognized him as the runner-up（to Jimi Hendrix）on their "The 10 Best Electric Guitar Players" list in 2009. In 2011, Rolling Stone ranked him at number 65 on their list of "The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time." Slash's contributions to music and his influential guitar work have solidified his place as an iconic figure in the rock genre.
