This leaves Miles to accept his fate that he is officially the new Spider-Man.

About Miles Morales From Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse
Following the death of the original Spider-Man, who died defending the city, Miles Morales is bitten by a radioactive spider. This spider gives him the same abilities that the original Spider-Man had. Miles realizes he has these abilities and accepts his new fate—that he is the new Spider-Man in the city.
At first, he is reluctant to take on the role after witnessing Spider-Man's death. Though he is wildly intelligent and creative, he fears that he needs to measure up to the people around him and what they expect of him. This changes after he hears Mary Jane Parker's speech at his funeral.
This version of Spider-Man is still quite new to him and Peter B. Parker serves as Miles' mentor, guiding him in embracing his newfound powers. Together with other Spider-People, including Spider-Gwen, they finally stop Kingpin's plan to use a particle accelerator. Miles steps up to the plate and becomes the hero that the city needs.
